Incoming WADSA Coordinator

Hi, my name is Sean Otto, and as some of you already know, I will be the WADSA Coordinator for the 2010 – 2011 Academic year. 2010-11 will be my fifth (and, with any luck and a lot of hard work, final) year in the doctoral program here at Wycliffe. My research interests lie in the medieval church, medieval thought and learning, and medieval heresy. My thesis will be a study of John Wyclif’s Latin sermons, 245 of which have come down to us. What I find particularly interesting about them is the manner in which they convey both very traditional teachings and also some very radical teachings, especially regarding the Eucharist and the nature of dominium (dominion or lordship) in the Church. Feel free to contact me at sean.otto AT utoronto.ca if you have any questions, concerns, or comments about how we can make AD student life at Wycliffe better. AT
